Artist Biography: From Alabama originally, after spending many years in NYC where she studied painting and dance before earning a BS from Hunter College in Art History and Urban studies and a master’s degree in urban planning from Columbia University, Pixie Alexander came to DC for a late MFA from American University. She has stayed in the city to teach and practice art.
