Getting to Adams Morgan
Get here by bicycle:
Ride your own bike and lock it on one of the dozens of racks around the neighborhood, or use Capital Bikeshare to get here and use one of the six (more coming soon) bikeshare stations in Adams Morgan.
Get here by Metro Rail:
Take the Red Line to the Woodley Park/Adams Morgan Metro Station. Then, it’s only a 10-minute walk across the historic Duke Ellington Bridge. For more information, visit www.wmata.com.
Get here by bus:
Take the Circulator Bus from the Woodley Park/Adams Morgan Metro Station or take it to the Columbia Heights Metro Station. The Circulator runs every 10 to 12 minutes; hours are until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 3:30 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. The Circulator costs $1.00. Also, Metrobus Route 42, 43, L2, and any of the 90 buses go through Adams Morgan. For more information, visit www.wmata.com .
Get here by car:
Parking in Adams Morgan can be tricky at times, but in addition to metered parking on 18th Street, Columbia Road, and many side streets, Colonial Garage (2421 18th St., NW) allows you to reserve parking before you arrive. Also, many Adams Morgan businesses will validate parking in the garage — be sure to check with those businesses first. Businesses that would like to offer parking validation can find more information about the program here.
And of course there are plenty of ride-sharing options in DC that will pick you up and drop you off exactly where you need to go without having to worry about parking.
