Visit Lapis’s underground vinyl cocktail bar, Lapop, for a one-night-only jazz and visual arts experience on Friday, February 9. Parisian-trained musician Christophe Mondot, aka MINO, will perform a live music set starting at 9 PM. Mondot’s career began in Aix-en-Provence, and his diverse musical background focuses on jazz, Latin jazz, soul, and hip hop, and electronic engineering, where he has designed analog pedals featured in albums by Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys. Guests can sip on some of Lapop’s signature, Afghan-inspired cocktails all night long, as well as order small plates from the Lapis kitchen from 9-10 PM. Tickets are $15 each, and tables are limited and offered on a first come first serve basis. There will also be limited bar and lounge seating.
